Input Requested to Develop Profile for Superintendent Search
The search has begun for the next superintendent to lead Greenville County Schools after Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher retires later this school year, and the Greenville County School Board wants input from the community to assist with the process.
Public forums will be conducted across Greenville County on Wednesday, November 30, and Thursday, December 1, during which participants can share feedback with the national search firm assisting the School Board.

"One of the main outcomes of this engagement process will be the creation of a Leadership Profile which will identify the characteristics and skill sets our next superintendent needs to be successful," said Roger Meek, chairman of the Greenville County School Board. "This profile will assist the search team in its recruiting efforts and the School Board in its selection process. We encourage the community to take advantage of these opportunities to assist the Board with the extremely important task of selecting our next superintendent.”
The input phase of the search process will also include forums for employees and small group meetings with selected leaders of parent, community, student and employee groups. An online survey to collect input will be available on our website beginning November 29 through January 10. Copies of the survey will also be available at the public and employee forums.
