The mission of the MMS Media Center is to foster a learning community that encourages students
to love reading and teaches them how to access, evaluate, and use information resources.
We're open every school day from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Students must have a pass to come to the Media Center.
Color Printing: 25¢ per page | Black & White Printing: 10¢ per page
Students must pay for printing at the time they print. No charging for prints!
Students may check out two books at a time and keep them for up to two weeks.
Books that are not on hold for another student may be renewed once.
Overdue fines are charged at 5 cents per day (excluding weekends and school holidays). Students are responsible for any fines they incur during the school year. Fines should be paid promptly. The maximum amount of fine is capped at $5.00 per book or the cost of the book.
Books and materials on reserve, including reference materials, may be checked out for overnight use only and must returned by 8:30 AM the following school day.
Students should not check out books or materials for another student.
Books are the responsibility of the student who checked them out and should be treated with care and respect.
If a student damages or loses a book, that student is responsible for any fees incurred to cover the cost of replacing the book. The student should contact the Media Center staff as soon as possible to determine the cost of the book and to make arrangements for paying it.
The Mustang Book Award reading incentive program encourages 7th and 8th grade students to read professionally reviewed books that will hopefully spark their interest in reading and inspire them to read more.
Students who read at least five (5) Mustang Books by May will get to enjoy pizza and vote for their favorite book at our May Mustang Book Award Pizza party!
