Greenville County Schools celebrates Reaching Higher as one of the first school districts in South Carolina to reach the 90-90-90 milestone of surpassing 90% in all three major achievement areas. Dr. Royster congratulates students, staff and our community on this historic, shared achievement. Accomplishing an all-time high graduation rate of 92.2%, with 90.5% of the graduating class earning College/Career Ready status, and 98.9% of Greenville County schools rated Excellent, Good, or Average on the State Report Card, our students and schools are proving the powerful advantage of a Greenville County Schools education, where there are Stronger Communities, Greater Opportunities!

Reaching Higher at Greenville County Schools! At Golden Strip Career Center, we are celebrating GCS as one of the first school districts in South Carolina to earn the 90-90-90 milestone by surpassing 90% in all three major achievement areas: reaching a 92.2% Graduation Rate for the Class of 2026, 90.5% of the graduating class earning College/Career Ready status, and 98.9% of Greenville County schools rated Excellent, Good, or Average on the State Report Card. We are proud to have one of our Golden Strip Career Center students representing us at the SkillsUSA Washington Leadership Training Institute (WLTI) in Washington, D.C.
This exciting experience gives students the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, connect with fellow SkillsUSA members from across the country, and learn more about career and technical education.
Golden Strip's Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering program competed in a Battle Royal Spin Off Competition! The students was able to show off the spin tops they designed and manufactured.

In honor of America’s 250th Birthday, Greenville County Schools invites every student in grades Pre-K–12 to participate in Celebrating America. Twenty-eight District Finalists will receive $50, and the four overall District Winners will receive $100. A new college funding opportunity will be available for Greenville County Schools students. Eligible GCS graduates can receive up to $10,000 toward tuition, housing, meals and fees at one of 16 eligible South Carolina colleges. Applications are expected to open in November!
