We are thrilled to begin the 2026–2027 school year with our students, families, and staff as we embark on another exciting journey of learning, growth, and achievement. Our theme, “Owl Aboard – Excellence Ahead!”, captures the spirit of our Oakview family as we set our sights on high expectations, meaningful learning, and success for every student.

Curriculum Night & Pizza Dinner
Thursday, August 20, 2026
Do you want your children to have a successful school year? If so, please plan to attend Open House & Curriculum Night on August 20, 2026! At this event, parents will participate in sessions with their child's teacher to hear about classroom routines, special events and field trips, and curriculum overviews for the year. PTA will also present their annual budget and volunteer opportunities will be shared with all parents.
A FREE pizza dinner will be offered to all those who attend. Curriculum Night is intended for parents only. If, however, you do not have childcare for that night, you are welcome to bring your Oakview students with you to this event. They can attend the parent sessions along with you.
Please complete this Google Form if you would like to reserve a pizza dinner(s).
Meal Time: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Meal Includes: 2 slices of pizza, fruit, dessert, drink
5:00-5:30 - Session 1 (same info at each session)
5:45-6:15 - Session 2 (same info at each session)
6:30-7:00 - Current Challenge Parent Session in the Gym

Whether you’re a returning family or joining Oakview for the first time, our Back to School Checklist is the best place to begin. Inside you’ll find everything you need to get connected with our PTA, including opportunities to:
- Become a PTA member: Join the PTA by August 26th! Special classroom incentives for full participation!
- Order spirit wear: Purchase Online by August 26th!

- Support our school community: Help make an impact at Oakview as an annual business partner! 100% of your tax-deductable donation goes to Oakview Elementary PTA to help fund events and school initiatives. Business Partners will be celebrated and recognized throughout the school year based on sponsorship level. The deadline to secure your sponsorship is September 1st! Greenville County Schools have released important updates for the 2026-27 school year regarding:

Oakview's Summer Reading Challenge
Blast off on a reading adventure by completing our Space Mission Game Board! Color in or mark an X on each space as you complete a mission. Record the book titles on the back. Deadline Extended! All mission logs must return to Earth by August 21, 2026.

Bus Request Forms for 2026-27
Students requesting new bus transportation for the 2026-27 school year must complete the 2026-27 Transportation Request Form below. Please submit your request by July 15, 2026 to be routed for the first day of school. Forms should be submitted if student is new or if address, school, or mode of transportation has changed.
Forms must be turned into the Oakview front office in person or by email to kdawson@greenville.k12.sc.us if bus transportation is needed for the 26-27 school year.

Back to School Vaccine Clinic
The Greenville County Health Department will be hosting Back to School Vaccine Clinics for rising 5K-12th grade students. Please see the attached flyers for dates, location, and information on how to make an appointment.
