Special Projects
Mrs. Sweet's class is starting a project called "Furry Friend Fridays" where staff and students can bring in newspapers to be recycled and given to the Greenville Humane Society. These papers help line the cages that are changed daily! Please send those papers in on Fridays!
Students at Sara Collins are making recycling a priority! Every class, as well as the Office, Library and Cafeteria, has recycle boxes. Every week students deposit their recycled materials, and the Student Council wheels it out to the curb for pickup! The lunchroom is getting involved too! They have containers for aluminum cans and water bottles.
We are also collecting aluminum pop tops for the Ronald McDonald house. Our goal is one million tabs. Some classes are composting, then using the compost in their school gardens. Here's a wonderful website for more information on Greensteps Schools! Greenstepsschools.com
