Vex RoboticsNorthwood's Competition Robotics Club is "gearing up!" Don't miss the application deadline of Wed, September 10!

6th Grade is invited to apply for our VexIQ Club that will meet every Monday afternoon from 3:30-5:00 pm.
7th & 8th Grades are invited to apply for VexV5 Club which will meet each Tuesday & Thursday afternoon from 3:30-5:00 pm.

Updates to Golden Circle Club

Golden CircleGreenville County Schools is now issuing photo identification cards to Golden Circle Club members and transitioning to digital newsletters. Current cards will be accepted through the 2025-26 school year. You must have a new card starting in August 2026.

Pre-Order Author Signed Books

Kwame Mbalia

Author Kwame Mbalia will visit Northwood Middle on Monday, October 6th!  Get ready for our visit by pre-ordering a copy of one (or more) of his amazing books. All books available for pre-order will be signed* and delivered to Northwood before his visit.  Deadline to order:  Sunday, September 21, 2025 @ midnight. 
*His newest boook, Jax Freeman and the Tournament of Spirits will have signed bookplates and will be distributed after its 10/7 release date.

Fall Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Northwood on September 22-26!  Preview Book Fair Materials

Important:  In order for students to visit the Book Fair, each student must return a signed parent permission slip. Without the permission slip, students cannot browse or purchase from the fair.

Northwood Middle School offers the following sports to 7th & 8th grade students:  Girls' Volleyball (fall), Girls' & Boys' Basketball (winter), Girls' & Boys' Soccer (spring), Softball (spring), and Baseball (spring).  If your student is interested in any sport NOT offered by Northwood, please contact the high school you are zoned for to inquire as to eligibility.

- My 8th grade student will not attend a Greenville County Schools high school next year.

Please log into your Parent Backpack account and double-check the contacts you have listed for your student. Educational Decision Makers can add, remove, or edit contacts in Backpack.  As a reminder, Parent Backpack allows parents/guardians to monitor their children’s grades, assignments, and attendance, and gives parents/guardians access to update the list of individuals who can pick up their student from school.
