Schedule Change Requests
Please fill out the Schedule Change Request Form if you would like to request a change to your Related Arts class for 2nd semester. Requests will be considered on a first come, first served basis. Changes are not a guarantee as class sizes and other factors must be considered. A counselor will follow up with the student about their request as soon as possible. All requests are due by Thurs, January 8.
Community Book Club
We are offering a Community Book Club to all Northwood students and their parent/trusted adult!
Participants will read the newest Alan Gratz book, War Games, together and attend an in-person book club on Mon, February 9, from 5:30-6:30 pm in the school library. Students who participate will receive a FREE dress down day and also be entered to win a $20 Amazon gift card for bringing an adult who read the book with them!

Northwood Middle School offers the following sports to 7th & 8th grade students: Girls' Volleyball (fall), Girls' & Boys' Basketball (winter), Girls' & Boys' Soccer (spring), Softball (spring), and Baseball (spring). If your student is interested in any sport NOT offered by Northwood, please contact the high school you are zoned for to inquire as to eligibility.

Fine Arts Center Applications
The application for Greenville County Schools’ center for the creative, performing, and visual arts – the Fine Arts Center – is now open!
The FAC is seeking students with strong interest, dedication, and the drive to reach their full potential. Students in grades 8-11 may apply and audition for admission to the Fine Arts Center, with newly accepted students starting in August of 2026. The application will remain open through January 15; auditions are held in February and results will be posted on March 11, 2026.

- My home address has changed.
- My home address will change over the summer.
- I plan to unenroll my student from Northwood Middle for next school year.
- My 8th grade student will not attend a Greenville County Schools high school next year.

Attention Educational Decision Makers:
Please log into your Parent Backpack account and double-check the contacts you have listed for your student. Educational Decision Makers can add, remove, or edit contacts in Backpack. As a reminder, Parent Backpack allows parents/guardians to monitor their children’s grades, assignments, and attendance, and gives parents/guardians access to update the list of individuals who can pick up their student from school.
