To Parents of Eighth Graders: The Northwood Middle School Counseling Office will begin Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) conferences in November for 8th graders. The IGP is a conference held from grades 8 through 12 with each student and their parent or guardian to discuss current and past academic progress, high school goals & curriculum, and plans for the future. Please follow this link to sign up for a December appointment. We will gradually add new appointment times for 2019. We look forward to discussing your student’s transition to high school.
Northwood Middle School is happy to announce that the ACE Awards are now open in Greenville County Schools. ACE recognizes and honors the “unsung heroes” in grades 8 and 12 in our middle and high schools. ACE Award honorees are comprised of students who have overcome tremendous odds to achieve wonderful things in their churches, schools, homes, or communities but have not been recognized for doing so. Anyone can nominate a Greenville County 8th or 12th grade student for an ACE Award. The deadline to do so is February 1st. To nominate a student for an ACE Award, go to https://www.coaches4character.com/ace-awards.html . There will be a celebration for the winners in May at the Relentless Church on Haywood Road.
"School choice" renewal forms for 2019-20 have been distributed to 6th and 7th graders currently enrolled at Northwood on special permission. Please ask your student to show you the green renewal form and return it to the Front Office no later than Fri, Nov 16. If this form is not received in our Front Office by Nov 16, your student could risk losing their spot at Northwood for the 2019-20 school year.
If you have additional questions about the school choice process for 2019-20, please visit the Greenville County School District's website for school choice information.
Our Friday afternoon "SportsClub" group has been cancelled until further notice. Stay tuned for updates!
