Helen, GA Field Trip

Helen, GA Field Trip

ATTENTION 6TH GRADE STUDENTS & PARENTS:

Due to the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8, and in consideration of the concerns that have been expressed, we have decided to reschedule our Helen, GA field trip. The new date for our adventure will be Monday, April 22. We believe this change will ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

We are still excited to hold our parent meeting as planned, which will take place via Google Meet on March 26 at 6:00 PM. This will be an excellent opportunity for us to discuss the trip details and answer any questions you may have. Please keep an eye out for the meeting link, which is forthcoming.

We understand that changes in schedule may affect the availability of those who generously volunteered to chaperone. If you had previously signed up to chaperone and find that you are unable to participate on the new date, kindly contact Mrs. West at pwest@greenville.k12.sc.us at your earliest convenience. Your assistance and understanding in this matter are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your flexibility and continued support. We look forward to a successful field trip and an enriching experience for our students!

Is Your Address Up-To-Date?

Phone

As we are preparing for the next school year's registration, it is very important that we have your correct address information on file. This determines the school your student will attend. All address changes require proper documentation (two proofs of residency) to be presented to the school.

If you have moved or will be moving, please email our Registrar, Deborah Guion, at dguion@greenville.k12.sc.us or call 864-355-7013.

Northwood Top Middle School

CelebrateDear Northwood Middle School Parents and Students,

I have the distinct pleasure of sharing some truly exceptional news with all of you: The South Carolina School Report Cards were made public today, and Northwood Middle School has once again earned the highest rating of "Excellent" with a total of 68 points! Not only is this a remarkable achievement, but our point total also makes us the highest-rated middle school in Greenville County.

These points are a comprehensive measure of our performance and encompass various aspects, including:
- Student academic achievement in math, ELA, and 6th-grade science
- Student academic growth in math, ELA, and 6th-grade science
- Multilingual Learners progress toward language acquisition goals
- Climate perceptions of students, parents, and teachers

This achievement is a testament to our students, teachers, and staff's tireless work, dedication, and commitment. It also reflects the exceptional learning environment we've fostered here at Northwood, focused on ALL students' growth and well-being.

We have planned some special events for tomorrow, Wednesday, October 11th, to celebrate our significant accomplishment. Our staff and students are cordially invited to enjoy a free dress-down day! Our wonderful PTA will also provide all students and staff with complimentary ice cream sandwiches at lunch.

I am profoundly proud of our achievements and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such an exceptional school community. It's an honor to call myself a Northwood Knight, and I am confident that we will continue to build upon these achievements.

Thank you for your continuous support and engagement. Your involvement makes Northwood Middle School not just a place of learning, but a community where everyone thrives.

Warm regards,
Mr. Lee
Principal, Northwood Middle School
