A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities, PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children. The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. Bryson Middle School seeks to serve as the liaison between the school and parents, teachers, students and community members. The overall purpose of PTA is as follows:·
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, school, community and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of the children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

The National Reflections program has been PTA’s cornerstone arts program for over 50 years! It offers students the opportunity to develop their creativity and earn recognition for their original artwork. Arts education is an essential element of a complete and balanced education for all students. The arts comprise a rich array of creativity in dance, theatre, media arts, literature, design, and visual arts. PTA's National Reflections and Cultural Arts Program allows students to explore their unique creativity. Reflections encourages students to unleash their inner artist! Students may choreograph a dance, produce a film, write a poem or story, compose a song, take a picture or create a piece of visual art (drawing, painting, or even 3D). The entry must reflect this year's theme "Look Within". Students are encouraged to submit as many entries in as many categories as they like. Each entry must be accompanied by a student entry form. All Bryson participants will be recognized for their artistic efforts!More information on Reflections to come!
