aboggsOur Principal

Dear Bryson Families:

I am thrilled to join the Bryson Elementary School team as the new principal.  I look forward to working collaboratively with the staff, teachers, parents, and community members to help ensure our students at Bryson Elementary School are successful in reaching their goals.  It is evident that your participation, commitment, and support have been driving forces in the success of our school.  I am inspired to share in that same vision as we move forward together.

My family and I are originally from Ohio.  I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a minor in Business Education.  I am also certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I am married to my husband of nineteen years, and we have two amazing children; Brandon just graduated from high school and is now a soldier serving in the United States Army, and Ashley is a junior this year.  Both of them are such bright lights in our lives! We are also huge Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Cavalier fans!

My family and I love Greenville, South Carolina! I have had the privilege of working in Greenville County Schools for the last five years.  When we first moved here, I served as a fourth grade teacher at Buena Vista Elementary School for two years.  I also spent two years at Mitchell Road Elementary School as an administrative assistant and last year, I was the assistant principal at Welcome Elementary School.  I have gained great insight from each of these opportunities.

Before moving to this wonderful area, my family and I lived in Georgia for three years.  I taught fourth grade for two years and fifth grade for one year.  While in Georgia, I earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Columbus State University.  Prior to living in Georgia, my family and I resided in Florida for almost six years.  During three of those years I was lucky enough to stay home with my children.  The other three years were spent teaching first graders.

I value the experiences I have acquired from some outstanding colleagues and leaders, who have taught me so much.  I am so excited to work, learn, and grow with the great people and children in the Bryson community!  I look forward to partnering and collaborating with all of you to positively impact your child’s education.

Finally, in order to keep our school community and partners in education up to speed on the amazing things happening at Bryson Elementary School, we have launched new Facebook and Twitter pages.  Our Twitter handle is @Bryson_ES, with the hashtag #BrysonBearsBelieve.  Please like and follow us!  Please also feel free to contact me anytime by phone (864) 355-3610 or by e-mail  aboggs@greenville.k12.sc.us. Again, thank you for your devotion to our school.  I look forward to meeting all of you soon.

Sincerely,

 Andreya C. Boggs, Principal
