Important Links for Students

Ask any student at Blue Ridge Middle to list the things they like about our school, and they will always talk about their friends.   Our students are friendly and they come from a family-centered community.  Whether or not students are in class, in the hallways, or eating lunch, friendships flourish at Blue Ridge Middle School.  Students new to BRMS immediately notice this part of their experience of attending one of the best middle schools in the upstate.

We also have an exceptional performing arts program.  The Blue Ridge High School band continues to win regional and state competitions.  Blue Ridge Middle School is where it all begins.  Our teachers help foster the love of music and art, and help students learn to express themselves using creative, yet disciplined, methods.  We currently offer instruction in Band, Strings, Chorus, and Art.  Students will participate in activities that showcase their talents.

Our students and families help the community in a variety of ways.  We give of our time and resources to help the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Breast Cancer Research Center, local food banks, Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Down Syndrome Family Alliance of Greenville, to name a few.

Several students showcase their academic excellence by participating in exclusive groups here at Blue Ridge.  We have a large number of 8th grade students who become eligible to participate in our National Junior Beta Club by meeting academic standards during their 7th grade year.  Other students compete against other schools in an academic setting.  This group, Battle of the Brains, is open to students in any grade.  We also have offered after-school instruction in Chess.

Blue Ridge Middle has a tradition of excellence when it comes to our sports programs.  Students in 7th and 8th grade may try out for any of our school sports.  Currently, we compete against other middle schools in volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer.  Some students may also be eligible to participate in football, cross country, wrestling, golf, and track by contacting the high school.
