Our History:

Blue Ridge Middle School is located on Tyger Bridge Road at the foot of Glassy Mountain near North Greenville University and is considered a rural school. Blue Ridge Middle has a history rooted in the changing landscape of its region, transitioning from a primarily agricultural area to a more developed one. The school's current site was originally home to Blue Ridge High School, which opened in 1954. Over time, the area's population grew, leading to the construction of a new high school building in 1986, with the original site becoming Blue Ridge Middle School. The school has undergone renovations, including a major one in 2001, and continues to evolve to meet the needs of its students and community. Today, Blue Ridge Middle School is a public school with a diverse range of programs, including a Gifted and Talented program, Project Lead The Way, and opportunities for high school credit classes.
