Good Evening Sevier Families,
Congratulations to our delegates that attend the 2-day Middle School Model United Nations Conference in Black Mountain, NC. Sevier Middle School was awarded 18 total awards for outstanding achievement. Our delegation totaled 14 students, and of those, 10 students won awards for outstanding resolutions, speeches, debating skills, and presentations. The individual recognitions are listed on our website.
We would like to wish good luck to Mrs. Plumier and our Robotics team The Spartans as they leave Wednesday for Louisville, Kentucky to compete at the VEX Worlds Tournament. We would also like to thank our Sevier families and local businesses for their support in fundraising for this opportunity.
Field Day is coming soon and shirts will be on sale in homerooms for $10, CASH ONLY, from April 22nd through May 3rd. Students are responsible for ordering their shirt in their homeroom. The front office cannot accept payments. All orders will be final at the beginning of homeroom on May 3rd. Late orders, exchanges and refunds will not be permitted. Students look forward to Field Day, as each grade level has a whole day dedicated for this fun event. Each homeroom is a team and competes for top ranking. Each grade level homeroom has their own team color field day shirt. Students who do not purchase a Field Day T-shirt must wear the same color shirt as their homeroom.
The Yearbook Staff is announcing a Homeroom Yearbook Sales Competition as their final push before yearbook prices increase. Each grade level homeroom with the most yearbooks ordered will celebrate with a Pizza or Doughnut Party. The contest will begin on Monday, April 22nd and will end Tuesday, April 30th. Yearbooks are currently $35. The price will increase on May 1st to $40. Yearbooks may be purchased online at Jostons.com or in the front office using the attached yearbook order form.
This is a reminder to students and parents that the Student Course Request Letters and transportation forms sent home with 3rd quarter report cards are due to homeroom teachers no later than Friday.
