Principal's Weekly Message
Weekly Message for week of June 3 - 7, 2019
See the Student Page of the website for a more detailed schedule of events.
Good Evening Sevier Families,
Please join us for our Awards Day ceremonies. The 6th Grade ceremony is Monday at 1:30pm. The 7th Grade ceremony is Tuesday at 1:30pm and the 8th Grade ceremony is at 9:00am on Wednesday to accommodate for our half day schedule.
Students are reminded that Dress Code and ID policies still apply for these last 3 days of school. Students may dress up for awards day, but must be modest. Low cut, open back, crop top and spaghetti strap tops are not permitted and dresses/skirts must reach below fingertip length.
As we move forward into this final week of school, we would like to remind students and parents that a student’s attendance is required and expected. Attendance will be taken each day.
Students are reminded that bookbags/backpacks are not allowed for the remainder of school. Students may bring string bags (cinch sacks).
Wednesday is our final day of school and will run on a half day schedule. School will dismiss at 12:45pm. Bus transportation will run and lunch will be served.
This is the final reminder for parents to pick up their student’s medication from the health room. After 12:00pm Wednesday, all remaining medications will be destroyed.
We have a large amount of items on our Lost and Found Table located in the main hallway. Please have your student check for any of their missing belongings. All items and clothing will be donated at the end of the day Wednesday.
We have a limited number of spots left for our Art and Robotics summer camps. Registration forms and cash payments are accepted in the office until 12pm daily. Registration ends June 3rd for Art Camp and June 5th for Robotics Camp.
Report cards are mailed home Friday. The school will provide supplies to mail report cards. It is very important for parents/students to notify the school of changed addresses or phone numbers. Parents should contact the Counseling Department at 355-8204 as soon as possible to update student information. All address changes require 2 proofs of residence.
All debts must be cleared for report cards to be mailed home. Students with debts will have reminders sent home and are able to come to the school after June 7th to pick up report cards and pay for any school debts.
Beginning June 10th, our Summer Office Hours are 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday. The school will be closed Fridays.
This is one last reminder for 6th grade parents to send in their student’s TDap immunization record to the health room before the end of school. This documentation is required for your child to attend school next year as a 7th grader.
Our Student Council is encouraging all 8th graders that no longer have an interest in their collared shirts & Sevier gear to donate these items on Tuesday and Wednesday. We continue to accept dress code appropriate clothes donations for our Care Closet.
