Messenger Email 8.2.2020
Good Evening Sevier Families,
LEAP week is quickly approaching, on the week of August 17th. We are looking forward to seeing all of our students again, and having the presence of students back in the building. During LEAP sessions, students will;
Meet their classmates.
Meet their teachers.
Learn about Sevier
Learn how they will contribute to creating a safe environment for the Seveir Family.
Receive their Chromebook
Take an academic pre-assessment.
We do have a registration form for LEAP week so we can prepare meals, Chromebooks and materials for students. The registration form also contains additional details for LEAP week. The form is on our website or you can follow the link in the Messenger email. LEAP Day RSVP for Sevier Middle School.
All seventh grade students, Virtual Academy and On Campus, will need to turn in T-dap vaccine records to Sevier before students can participate in school this year. Our office is open 8am to 5pm Monday through Thursday this week.
As you prepare for the new school year, please remember all students will need three essential supplies: comfortable masks, earbuds, and a refillable water bottle. A complete supply list is on our website.
Due to current guidelines from DHEC, we are currently not able to have guests on campus or host events. This means we will not have an open house this year. We will be filming a virtual open house that we will post on our website. We will also host live events the week of August 24, where you will be able to ask questions and interact with your child’s teachers.
Sevier has traditionally been a leader in the education community, a model school for other schools to collaborate with during traditional operations. With the challenges we face together this year, Sevier will continue to be a leader in the education community. I encourage you to stay informed with what is going on at Sevier through our website and media platforms. These sites will be the place for current and reliable information. We look forward to making 2020-2021 a great year.
Thank you for your time this evening.
Mr. Chad Maguire, Principal
