The mission of the Heritage Elementary School Library Media Center is:

Greenville County supports flexible access and flexible scheduling in the Media Center. What does this mean for staff and students? This means that students, staff and parents may come to the Media Center to borrow materials anytime during the day, and staff can schedule lessons when there is a need to connect Information Literacy Skills with the curriculum. With flexible access it is possible that a student may visit the Media Center everyday to select a new book for reading, there is no waiting because Everyday is Library Day!

Students should never be without reading materials and are encouraged to visit the Media Center independently for book exchange anytime during school day. Students must have their teacher's permission and a media center pass in order to visit. In addition to independent visits, all classes in grades K-5 are scheduled in the LMC for curriculum related research/skills units throughout the year.

The media center is looking for some volunteers to assist with various duties. If you would like to be a media center volunteer please contact Mrs. Cole @ 355-6005.
