Transportation

One of our top priorities is making sure all students go home safely each and every day of the school year. Please see important transportation below for car riders, bus riders, van riders, and walkers.

Carline

All parents who pick up children in the carlines need a school issued hangtag. These will be given out during Meet the Teacher in August.

Children will not be released to cars unless the NEW school issued hangtag is displayed. Please note, photographs of hangtags will not be accepted. Parents should set a good example for their children by following these guidelines. Please be patient with the carlines, especially in the afternoons during the first few weeks of school.

Please follow the map for carline instructions:

Morning Drop Off
• Enter Main Entrance off Summit Drive.
• Proceed forward until you have reached first available
patrol to open car door for your child to exit vehicle.
• Do NOT go around or pass cars unloading students in front of you

Afternoon Dismissal
• Enter Back Entrance from Chick Springs Road
• Traffic coming from Rutherford Road should enter holding
lane to enter dismissal line. Traffic coming from Mohawk
Drive will go around the traffic circle to enter dismissal line.
• Cars should make two lanes of traffic.
• Have car tag ready to present to dismissal personnel.
• Traffic Control personnel will direct traffic at each stop sign.

Change in Transportation
If your child's main mode of either AM or PM transportation is being changed, please fill out the form below and send in with your student(s).  Please make sure a parent note accompanies this form letting the teacher and office know when this change will be effective.  If you need to make a change in afternoon transportation for your child, please be sure to send a signed note to school with your child.  If you have siblings at Summit Drive who will also be affected by this change, please send a note for each child’s teacher.  Any changes in afternoon transportation must be submitted in writing prior to 10:00 a.m., and signed by the  parent/guardian. Emails or phone calls cannot be accepted.
