Mission

Our mission is to educate and empower all students in a safe, inclusive environment where they experience belonging, develop a growth mindset, and build the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for success. We serve students in partnership with families and the community through high-quality instruction, strong relationships, and responsive support. We equip students with the knowledge, skills, and character to create a brighter future.

Our Story

Summit Drive Elementary was established in 1952 to serve the growing population in the Greenville area. As a neighborhood landmark, the school has played an important role in the education of many families in the local community. Many of the Summit Drive alumni still live in the community today, and their children and grandchildren now attend Summit Drive. In 2001, a new building was built at the same site, and in 2021, a new addition was added. As our school continues to grow, our highly-skilled faculty continues to focus on developing 21st century learners through creative problem solving, providing a creative and caring community of learners, and cultivating leaders who change the world.
