Welcome Mrs. Sexton!

Mrs. SextonWe would like to welcome and introduce you to our new Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Nurit’ Sexton. She has served as the Math Coach/ Interventionist at Armstrong Elementary since August 2014. In this position she has worked developing individual math learning plans, assisted with math common assessments, developed PLCs around analyzing data and developing groups, and engineered math work stations. She has also served in many leadership capacities such as developing their PBIS/ Discipline system, implementing the digital parent pick up system, implemented Math & Science Carnival, developed the school wide PD calendar, lead PLCs, and served as a district Pas-T third evaluator. Prior to this position she has taught 3rd and 4th grades for 12 years.

Recently, Mrs. Sexton received her Masters of Arts degree in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. She also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Converse college.Sexton Family

Mrs. Sexton and her husband have two daughters. Mia is a rising Junior at Lander University and Christian will be entering 5K in the fall. She has a very supportive and close knit family who believes in helping others along their journey. She loves all sports, but especially college football…..she says “Go Florida State Seminoles!”

A statement from Mrs. Sexton, “I am so excited to soar as a Mighty Eagle! I am looking forward to continuing the standard of excellence that is Mauldin Elementary.”

We are very excited and fortunate to have Mrs. Sexton join our Mighty Eagle Family.

SummerDistrict offices and schools will be open Monday, June 6 through Thursday, August 4, from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Schools and offices will be closed on Fridays through August 5.

Learn English Free
There is a new program available to parents who would like to learn English and become more involved in their child’s academic achievement. The program is free to parents and is on a first come first serve basis. Rosetta Stone® Community Solution for K-12 is a program available to the parents of our English Language Learners. This program will provide the parents of our English Language Learners with an opportunity to learn and develop their English Language skills. It will also enable parents to increase their engagement in their child’s school and contribute to improving their child’s educational achievement. The online lessons from Rosetta Stone® Community Solution for K-12 allow parents to use this program at home, work, on their phone, or anywhere they have access to the internet.

If you would like to have access to this program, please contact your child’s ESOL teacher. The ESOL teacher will be able to provide you with a code to access the program and share general log-in instructions. Feel free to contact Debi Osbourne at 355-3728 or at dosbourn@greenville.k12.sc.us
