Student Placement Policy 2023-2024 School Year

 

As we begin planning for the 2023-2023 school year and developing classroom rosters, parents and guardians can provide meaningful input that may help us make the best decision about placement for your child. Please read our Student Placement Policy for more information. 


Yearbook Orders

The 2022-2023 school year is quickly coming to an end! It's been such amazing year, be sure to purchase a yearbook to have as a keepsake for years to come! Yearbooks can be purchased at www.yearbookordercenter.com, and enter school code: 14491. Yearbooks are $25 and only available in the presale.  Be sure to order yours today!


Parent School Climate Survey

The Parent School Climate Survey is available via Backpack for Parents on the My Students page. One survey per family should be completed per student. Parents of multiple students at different school locations may complete a survey for each school their students attend. Parents of students in any grade level are invited to complete a survey.


Greenville County Schools Strategic Education Plan

Every five years, Greenville County Schools pursues a comprehensive revision of its Strategic Education Plan. The purpose of this plan is to ensure GCS meets the needs of our students and helps them develop the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to society. We are focused on building a plan for 2024 through 2029 that is reflective of this community’s expectations for academic achievement and college- and career-readiness. There are multiple ways to provide input, and the first is a series of community input meetings. 

Parents, students, staff and the community are invited to attend the community input meetings.The in-person meetings begin promptly at 5:30 pm and will conclude by 7 pm at the following locations: 

April 11 - Blue Ridge High School

April 12 - Eastside High School

April 18 - Southside High School

April 19 - Fountain Inn High School

April 20 - Berea High School

A virtual community input meeting will be conducted by Zoom on April 18. It will begin promptly at 11:30 am and will conclude by 1 pm. Register for the Zoom meeting here: https://tinyurl.com/4w4c8k2t.

Parent Backpack

Having a Parent Backpack account gives you access to your child’s grades, attendance, and lunch balances,  as well as information from teachers, your principal, and the district.

Student Enrollment Forms

Parents can now enroll and upload documents online by creating a Parent Backpack account.  Please visit the Greenville County Schools Enrollment website to learn more and start the enrollment process.

The following documents are needed to enroll:

  • Copy of Parent's Driver's License
  • Your child’s Birth Certificate
  • A current South Carolina Immunization record from DHEC (All out of state immunizations must be transferred to a SC Immunization for school)
  • Two Proofs of Residency (which can include):
    • A current Electric, Water, or Gas Bill displaying the address of residence and billing date within the past 30 days
    • Closing statement for home or current mortgage statement for primary residence showing property address (not mailing address)
    • Property Tax Form
    • Most recent state or federal income tax return displaying the address of residence.
    • Current statement from DSS (Department of Social Services) or any other Government Agency which provides residency of the parent/legal guardian

 

 

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: ANY PARENTS PROVIDING A LEASE AGREEMENT AS A FORM OF PROOF OF RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT UPDATED LEASE AGREEMENTS UPON THE EXPIRATION OF THE CURRENT LEASE AGREEMENT.
