Hello, Gator families!
PTA is so excited to offer Valentine Grams again this year! This is an exciting and special opportunity for the kids to show their friends how much they care about them.
The best part? All treats will be hand-delivered by PTA on Valentine’s Day to each class!
There will be two opportunities to spread the love this year:
1) VALENTINE GRAMS
2) GATOR GOODIES
Thank you for your help and support to create these special memories for our Gators!
Mrs. Stubley would like all rising 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students to consider participating in the ARMES program!
The A.R.M.E.S PROGRAM (Arts Reaching Middle and Elementary Schools) is a tuition-free,
rigorous, artistically gifted and talented program designed to meet the needs of identified 3rd -
8th grade Greenville County students. Students who are selected into the program attend
class afterschool 2-3 times a week. Students must provide their own transporta-tion.
Participation in ARMES is part of the district’s Gifted & Talented program so regular
attendance is required.
NOMINATIONS for the 2023-2024 school year will open February 1, 2023 and close April 3,
2023. Rising 3rd through 8th grade students may be nominated by a teacher, parent, adult, or
self. All interested students must have an on-line nomination form completed by the deadline
of April 3, 2023. Late nominations cannot be accepted. Required auditions for the ARMES
program will be held May 1-12, 2023. Audition information will be emailed to students and
parents in mid to late April. If someone other than the student or parent nominates a student
please be sure the student and parent are aware.
Students may apply to a program or multiple programs at any of the three sites of their choice.
If a student applies to multiple programs and is accepted in multiple programs, they must
select one program to participate in. Students wishing to apply to multiple programs must
complete a separate nomination form for each program.
Kindergarten Applications Accepted January 9-March 10, 2023
4K programs are offered at various elementary schools and six child development centers across Greenville County. Children who will be four years old on or before September 1, 2023 are eligible to apply for this free program. Priority for 4K placement is based on risk factors such as academic or developmental needs, low family income, or low parent education level. Parents will be notified of application status by April 1, 2023.
The GCS 4K program provides high quality, rigorous instruction in early reading, early math, and social-emotional skills using the SC Early Learning Standards. Students attend 7:45-2:15 each day. The GCS Virtual Program is not available to 4K students. Parents will have the opportunity to request a 4K classroom location in the application.
There are two ways parents can complete the application for their child. They can visit the Parent section of this website and set up a Backpack account. Once it’s set up, open the Backpack account, look for “Enroll A Student,” and follow the instructions.
For families that do not have internet access, the application can be completed at each school. Parents are urged to bring all the required documents when they visit the school. Children do not have to live in the school attendance area to apply at that location.
The following documents are required for online or face-to-face registration:
Photo ID from any state or country
Two current “proof of residency” documents (all must contain property address). These can be a combination of:Current bills – i.e. electric, gas, water, cable
Current mortgage statement or current signed lease agreement with landlord’s name and phone number
Child’s Birth Certificate
Signed Certificate of Immunization, Conditional Certificate of Immunization, or Religious Exemption Certificate (Religious Exemption Certificate provided by Health Department)
Please note: completing the application does not guarantee enrollment in Greenville County Schools 4K program. Parents will be notified of application status by April 1, 2023.
