Charles DavisWelcome to Brushy Creek!

A Note from our Principal, Mr. Charles T. Davis, Jr.

It's hard to believe that we are mid-year into this school year and our teachers and students are still as excited about teaching and learning as they were on the first day of school.  Winter is here and we have already experienced cold temperatures, snow, and ice.  Please continue to make sure that your child is dressed for the cold weather.

Due to the hurricane in September and the additional day out of school on January 8, all snow days have been used.  We will be in school on Monday, March 19, Friday, March 30 and Friday, April 27.  State law requires school districts to include three makeup days in their calendar.  The School Board of Trustees may excuse up to three additional days after the three makeup days are used.  We are waiting on a decision to excuse the additional 3 days used from snow last week (January 17-19).

PF LunchAs you know, our school is a 2018 Palmetto's Finest finalist!  The SC Association of School Administrators (SCASA) presents     the awards each year to schools which offer the best in innovative, effective educational programs.  Our second visit will take place very soon and the announcement will be made on March 20 via livestream from ETV.
We are excited to be named a Finalist for the 2018 Palmetto's Finest Award.  We feel passionate that our total school program is a reflection of our motto "Building a Community of  Excellence One Student at a Time."  Our school exemplifies quality education in South Carolina because our school culture ensures that students feel safe as they learn and experience success.  Brushy Creek has  a supportive community, dedicated parental involvement, and intentional planning for the implementation of a quality educational program.

Our school is truly a great place for learning.  Your support and contributions are greatly appreciated.

Charles T. Davis, Jr., Principal
