Each year, I provide the state-recommended vision and hearing screenings for your child’s grade. This year the screenings will take place outside of the health room. Social distancing, hand sanitizer, cleaning of the equipment, and personal protective equipment will be used during the screening process. If you do NOT want your child to participate, please send me a signed letter opting out of this screening by September 22, 2020. You will not be notified of your child’s screening results unless something abnormal shows up. Please contact Heather Reynolds, RN at 864-355-1207 if you have any further questions.
Read some books, take the tests, at home or at school, and get your class trending on our leader board.
Would you rather read a magazine article and take the quiz? AR has added this cool new feature. You will find that option on the homepage of your student account.

Notice before withdrawing students to attend non-public school:
Before withdrawing a student to attend a private/homeschool co-op, it is HIGHLY recommended to check the accreditation on the enrolling institute. If your student returns to Greenville County schools from non-accredited (e.g., non-AdvancED) institution (home-school, private school, international school, out-of-state school, etc.), he/she must demonstrate proficiency in the credit bearing courses they are transferring in for HS credit. Parents can use the accreditation agency list to determine whether it is accredited.
Research home school FAQ's before withdrawing from a public school. Here is a link from the state department that will list important questions and answers about home school.
Please contact Patti Rushing, 355-1204 or email@example.com, with questions.
Is your internet running slow or videos won't play while you are learning at home? You need to authenticate your device each time you log on at home!
On days that students physically attend school, students may turn in their Chromebook for repair at their school and receive a loaner device. Once repaired, the Chromebook will be returned to the school and must then be returned to the student.
On days when students participate in E-learning, students may call (864) 355-4357 for assistance with minor issues. If the Chromebook is not functioning properly, students should bring Chromebooks to the nearest career center (Mon-Thu, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) for repair and to receive a loaner device. Once repaired, Chromebooks will be returned to the student’s home school and must be returned to the student in exchange for the loaner Chromebook.

Welcome back! I can’t wait to see all of my sweet friends and make some new friends this year. If your child will need to have medication in the health room things look a little different this year. First call or email Heather Reynolds at firstname.lastname@example.org or 864-355-1207 to set up an appointment and get the correct forms. Greenville County Schools medical forms. Before you come to your scheduled appointment please be sure you have the correct forms completed, the medication matches the order, the medication is not expired, and that if it is a prescription it has the label and is in the original container. Thank you for working with me to keep your children safe and healthy this year.
