Greenville County Schools Job Fair

We’re hiring great people for positions as bus drivers, bus aides, custodians, and food service personnel! Greenville County Schools will host a Job Fair on Tuesday, September 24 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Gateway Elementary School, 200 Hawkins Road, Travelers Rest. Come see how you can make a difference!
Bus Driver $15.21 – $19.06
Bus Aide $10.43 – $16.54
Custodian $11.25 – $13.71
Food Services $11.25 – $13.71
GREAT BENEFITS, including health and dental, retirement, sick leave, and free life insurance, are available for employees who work 30 or more hours per week. Training is provided. ACE School Tours

There will be 8 opportunities to tour ACE this year. The dates are listed below. If you are interested in a school tour, please call the school office (355-1200) to sign up. We will be limiting this to 10 people per tour. All tours will begin at 9:00am and visitors will need to sign in through the main office.

Be a Mentor at ACE!

Mentor Upstate is a local program for students who need extra encouragement and support.  Volunteers are matched with one student for the school year. Mentors are asked to commit 30 minutes per week to meet with the student at Augusta Circle, which can take place during breakfast or lunch. If you are interested in helping with this program, please contact Patti Rushing at 355-1204 or prushing@greenville.k12.sc.us.


School Volunteer Guidelines

Greenville County Schools (GCS), in an effort to ensure the safety of all of our students, has implemented additional security checks for school volunteers.  All volunteers must submit an online application to the district and receive clearance from the district before volunteering at any school/center or chaperoning any school field trip. 

All classroom volunteers, school volunteers and field trip chaperones must be registered through the school district as a LEVEL 2 volunteer. 

You will not be allowed to work with children or go on field trips unless you are registered. Please click on the link below to register online!  MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER AS A LEVEL 2 and not a Level 1!  It can take a few weeks for your application to be processed.

Backpack is a central site for students and parents to access information, to apply to Greenville County Schools special programs, and to access apps for education. This replaces the Powerschool Portal.

Sign up for GCS Backpack. You will need an email address to create an account. If you do not have your student's ID number, you can find it on a report card and progress report, or you can stop by the ACE front desk with a driver's license to get it. You will need to bring a photo ID to your child's school to verify your account once you have created it.

After you register, access GCS Backpack using the icon at the top right corner of the Augusta Circle website.
