Fine Arts Center Student Visitation Day

Information in the post is in the flyer in purple.

Students who have a serious interest about auditioning for the Fine Arts Center should sign up to attend their student Visitation Day where they can tour the school, learn more about programs, and get help with the application. The tour will be on Wednesday, October 30 from 9:30am to 11:00am. Transportation will be provided to and from Hillcrest. 

In order to attend, the Google Form below must be filled out first by October 11th AND a Hillcrest Field Trip Permission Form must be filled out afterwards. Please see Mrs. DeCoteau or Ms. Blair in the Counseling Office for the permission form.

Updated GCS Attendance Policy

Any student who misses school must present a written excuse, signed by his or her parent or legal guardian or a healthcare professional, for all absences within 3 days of the student’s return to school. The written excuse should include the reason for and the date of absence. If a student fails to bring a valid written excuse to school, his or her absence will be recorded as unlawful. 

For students in grades K-12, principals shall promptly approve or disapprove any student’s absence in excess of 10 days or 5 for semester classes, whether those absences are lawful, unlawful, or a combination of the two.  Absences in excess of 10 days or 5 for semester classes will not be considered excused unless by official medical documentation or otherwise approved by the principal as a lawful absence.

Hillcrest Cell Phone Policy

The Hillcrest High School Cell Phone Policy will still be in effect for the 2024-2025 school year. Take a look above for the expectations and REMEMBER! The first infraction results in a DETENTION and any more than that results in a physical REFERRAL.
