I hope you all have plans for the weekend that include enjoying this beautiful fall weather.  We have had lots of trips away from school this week----- shopping, horseback riding, swimming, and eating out in restaurants and just enjoying being outside at places like Fisher’s Orchard.  We have also had a number of visitors.  Yesterday a group of legislators, board members and district staff members held a meeting at Washington Center, and I was very proud to show off our students and staff, and of course, our building--- which looks great.    Kudos to Angie and her staff for receiving a 96.15 on the most recent inspection.  Great job!

SIC met on Wednesday and we went over updates to our student achievement data, and today we had a pediatric resident from Greenville Hospital here for a tour.

Next week progress reports will go home on Thursday, and Hillcrest High School teacher cadets will be coming to do PowerPoint Silly Songs presentations for our students on Tuesday.  Also on Tuesday, we have some of the staff members from Bob Jones planning to come for a tour.

We are all looking forward to Boo in the School on Friday, October 30, so please don’t forget to send in your snack donations.  Also, folks are working hard on items for this fall’s craft day which will be November 13 and we are very excited about the number of providers who will be here with us on November 5 for Family Night.  The fall book fair will run from November 2-6, and our parent Thanksgiving meal will be served on November 19.  It is a busy time, and we hope you will join us whenever you are available.  Have a great weekend.
