Our first week here at school has gone really well, and everyone seems to be adjusting to being back in the routine.  Check out our website to see some of the pictures Linda Thigpen took at Meet the Teacher on Monday.   She got some very good ones.

We had our first fire drill today, and since, we have come up with some ideas for rerouting a few classes in order to get all students out of the building more efficiently in case of an emergency.  We will put those in place for our next drill.

Next week Francisco Fuertes will starts as a paraprofessional in Jean Ashmore’s class, and we are looking forward to having him work with us in this new capacity.  Also next week, on Thursday, we are expecting a visit from a group of legislators who will be in town and who have expressed an interest in touring Washington Center.
