The school year is really moving along, and we have lots in store for upcoming weeks.

This week teachers and administrators had fire safety training on Wednesday, and teachers continue to work on learning to use the new IEP program the district has purchased.  Also, congratulations to Angie and her team on earning an "awesome" inspection score of 95.34.  Great job!

Today Law Enforcement officers began their training with some of our students, and they will be coming back for several more sessions.  PTA met on Thursday, and parents are getting everything lined up for the Walk and Roll on April 25.  We hope you all have the date on the calendar and that we will have a big crowd.

Next week will be very special because of the Valentine Pageant on Friday, and we look forward to having volunteers from Shannon Forest Christian School coming to serve as escorts for our young people.  Some of the students from Sara Collins will also be coming over as well to join in the fun.  Later this month we will have our Freedom Walk on February 27, and classes are working hard on the information for the stations they will be setting up.

We have a new employee who started this week.  Michael Broughton is helping out in Elizabeth Piper's room, and we are happy to have him joining us.  One last thing ---Denise Wilkerson is our Staff Member of the Month.   Be sure to congratulate her when you see her.  She definitely is responsible for keeping everything in the office running smoothly.

Have a great weekend and we look forward to getting started again on Monday.
