In Adaptive Art with Mrs. Amanda Wakely, Washington Center classes learned all about the sky. Students enjoyed hearing about the phases of the moon with Eric Carle’s story, Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me. They used multiple painting techniques to create their own full moon painting- using a brush, a stamp and their finger. The most fun part was the mess-free finger painting, where they mixed colors on the back of a plate covered with plastic wrap. The plate was then used as a stamp for their full moon. Washington Center students sure know how to reach for the moon!
