As the end of the year approaches, it’s exciting to look back on our Washington Center Core Vocabulary program. Our mascot, Bebo, has had many adventures with students exploring important words such as “go”, “play” and “help”. Bebo has gone on field trips to the park, restaurants and other community activities. Bebo has been all over the school helping in the environmental science room, the library to explore the world of reading and helping out cleaning the tables in the cafeteria. Bebo’s adventures recorded on weekly videos has been a fun engaging tool to gain and maintain student interest. The focus has been on exposing students to functional core words during meaningful daily activities. This high frequency practice is meant to build our students competency in communicating their basic wants and needs. We look forward to seeing what Bebo is up to next year!
