Washington Center students have been learning about different styles and movements in art. Classes watched videos of artists working in particular styles and artwork that had been created in them. Under the instruction of art teacher, Amanda Wakely, some classes created Pop Art ornaments using pointillism techniques, while others practiced the Japanese art of origami. Several classes created intricate woven ornaments, one of the many traditions of American Folk Art. Washington Center students and staff found a moment of relaxation during this busy time of the year working in the ways of the masters.
