My name is Mr. Damon Qualls and I am the PROUD princiPAL of Monaview Elementary School! I am so proud to be a Monaview Lion! I am truly humbled and blessed to be a part of an outstanding school community, with an obvious desire to see all students succeed. The exceptional work that has been accomplished at Monaview Elementary speaks to your dedication and commitment to collaborating with the school. I share your drive and passion for excellence!
On a personal note, I have been married to my wife, Kristy since 2009. She serves in administration as the principal of Pelham Road Elementary School. We enjoy traveling and spending time with family. I received my undergraduate degree from Benedict College in Elementary Education. I also have a Master’s degree from Columbia College in Divergent Learning and a Master’s in School Leadership and Administration from Southern Wesleyan University. Most recently, I earned certification from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education in Improving Schools: The Art of Leadership.
I have been dedicated to public education and Greenville County Schools since 2004. My teaching career began at Alexander Elementary School as a fifth grade teacher. After eleven years at Alexander, my administrative journey began at Berea Middle School, where I served as assistant principal. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to Monaview and to work with you as a partner in education to continue to provide our students with a quality education.
I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Monaview by building strong relationships with you our parents, students, and community partners. I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education. In an effort to share the latest and greatest experiences happening on our campus, we have launched a social media campaign, with the hashtag #MonaviewMoments. Please like and follow us on both Facebook and Twitter. Feel free to contact me by email at dqualls@greenville.k12.sc.us or by phone (864) 355-4310.
