Principal's Welcome

Principal

It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I write this letter as we begin the 2024-2025 school year at Mauldin Elementary School. I am honored to be part of a school known for its outstanding academic quality and dedication to the success of students, families, and the greater Mauldin community.

This school year will launch my twenty-third year with Greenville County Schools. In addition to my role as an educator, I am first and foremost a wife and mother. My son is a student at the University of South Carolina and my daughter is a high school freshman. My wonderful husband serves as an IT Specialist for the City of Greenville. We enjoy traveling and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!

As a native of Greenville County, I graduated from Blue Ridge High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Leadership from Clemson University. I have been privileged to serve the families of Greenville County Schools as an elementary teacher, assistant principal, and interim principal. In 2015, I was honored to be named the Greenville County Assistant Principal of the Year. I am proud to be serving in my sixth year as the principal at Mauldin Elementary.

As a mother and educator, I believe that schools play an important role in helping children flourish both socially and academically. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue the high academic standards of Mauldin Elementary while helping students find their leadership potential through Leader in Me. Over the next months, I look forward to meeting and getting to know you as we work together to Dream, Believe, Inspire and Achieve.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Dodds
