Welcome to the District 1 PTA Webpage
South Carolina District 1 PTA includes all Greenville County Schools. With over 32,000 members and 82 local units divided into four Council areas, District 1 is the largest district in South Carolina PTA. Because of its size, it is divided into four geographic PTA Council Areas: Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest. Click HERE for a list of schools assigned to each area.
Area Councils provide their own member meetings, forms for dues, collection procedures for Reflections, and information/programs on other topics and issues of importance. Copies of the forms for dues are in the District 1 PTA Handbook.

- 2/9 – 3/19 - District 1 Reflections Selections on display in GCS Central Office lobby
- 2/28/2013 - Membership Reports for February due to SCPTA -Must be submitted even if totals are "0"
- 3/1/2013 - State Reflections Winners are sent to National PTA
- 3/1/2013- SCPTA award applications and Goals Sheet Due (Incl. Helen Stokes nom. & Gerry Pfaehler applic.) See SCPTA Awards Handbook for more information and eligibility.
- 3/4/2013 - Submit local unit article to SCPTA bulletin
- 3/5 to 3/7 -NPTA Legislative Conference -Washington, DC
- 3/7/13 - District 1 Board Meeting at GCSD - 301 E. Camperdown Way
- 3/31/2013 - Membership Reports for March due to SCPTA - Must be submitted even if totals are "0"
APRIL- COUNCIL AREA TRAINING SESSIONS - To be scheduled for each council area in District 1
- 4/1-4/5 - Spring Break - GCS Closed
- 4/5/2013 - Submit local unit article to SCPTA bulletin
- 4/22-4/26 - National Volunteer Appreciation Week
- 4/28-5/3 - Greenville Teacher Appreciation Week

MAY- Start planning for next year - complete election of officers at spring general membership meetings
