Laptop Insurance and Coverage

All students in NewTech@Mann will need to pay the $25 laptop fee to ensure active insurance coverage of their device while both on and off-campus. The insurance will cover:

- any naturally occurring issues (hardware issues due to malfunction, software issues)

- one major accident, such as a cracked screen or damage resulting from a dropped laptop

- a stolen laptop (as long as a police report has been filed)

The insurance will not cover:

- damage that is a result of intentionally trying to harm the laptop

- lost or misplaced laptop

- loss of the charger

In the event of damage or need for repair, students will bring their laptop to Mr. Mobley. He will then assess the issue and offer a replacement for temporary use while the laptop is being repaired. 

For further incidents of accidental damage beyond one major repair, students will be charged the price of repairs or for laptop replacement if it cannot be repaired.

If you have not paid your child's $25 device insurance fee, you can pay at the school via cash, money order, or personal check made out to J.L. Mann. You may also pay using MySchoolBucks under the New Tech Device Fee.
