Students Create and Donate Middle Ages-Themed Board Games

Students in World History/World Literature classes recently created board games related to the Middle Ages to donate to the pediatric unit of a local hospital.

The games had to feature elements related to a hero's quest, which borrowed from the plots of many of the stories they read in the unit.  Students wrote their quests first and then incorporated those and a crest/family coat of arms into their designs.

Students created cards and 3d-printed game pieces to include in their games.

The games also were required to have hallmarks of the history content they covered.  Some of the content included the Crusades, feudalism, the Renaissance and the bubonic plague.

The teachers took the board games and donated them personally to the children's unit of the hospital.
