Tdap Vaccine for Rising 7th Graders
Tdap is a booster vaccine that protects your child from three dangerous diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough (also called pertussis). Parents are reminded that rising 7th graders must have the Tdap vaccination.
Parents must provide their child's school with documentation of the Tdap immunization. Parents are encouraged to submit documentation as soon as possible. If documentation is not provided before the first day of school, the student will not be allowed to start school.
State Law began the requirement for the Tdap vaccination beginning with the 2013-14 school year.
