Summer School 2026

Summer school for Northwest Middle School students will be hosted at Berea Middle School.

Below are the dates and times.

The program will operate for 4 weeks, 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs)

Week of June 1-4 *Pre-Assessments for targeted grade levels and content areas
Week of June 8-11
Week of June 15-18
Week of June 22-25 *Post-Assessments for targeted grade levels and content area

Hours of Operation

Elementary 7:45 AM-2:15 PM (students drop off as early as 7:15)
Middle 8:30 AM-12:30 PM
High 9:00 AM-1:30 PM

Our PTA is made up of parents, family, faculty/staff, and community members. We host fun programs and events for our students and families and we raise money to support the any specific needs of our school. Sometimes we work to enhance what is already in place.

Attendance

every day counts! School success starts with attendance

Your child's regular attendance at school is crucial for their academic success.

Please remember the following:

School doors open at 7:30 a.m.
School starts promptly at 8:20.
Students will be marked tardy after 8:30.
No early dismissals after 2:45. (12:15 on half days.)
School is dismissed at 3:15.
Students must be picked up from school no later than 4:00.
A parent must send a note (parent or doctor) for ALL absences.
All notes must be turned into the attendance clerk within 2 days of the absence.
A student must attend at least 3 hours or 180 minutes to be counted present for the day.
Parent notes should include the student’s legal first and last name, dates of non-attendance and
reason for absence.

A PARENT NOTE OR DOCTOR'S NOTE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL ABSENCES. PARENTS ARE ALSO
REQUIRED TO PROVIDE NOTES FOR ALL EARLY DISMISSALS AND LATE ARRIVALS. FAILURE TO DO
SO WILL RESULT IN AN UNEXCUSED ABSENCE FOR THOSE CLASSES.

**Early Dismissals should be strictly reserved for emergencies and doctor's appointments only.**

Doctor's notes or parent notes can also be faxed to 864-355-6920 or emailed to tohill@greenville.k12.sc.us.
