I am excited to begin my second year as the Assistant Principal at Thomas E. Kerns Elementary. I have been in the education field for fifteen years now. I taught first grade and fourth grade in Greenville County before becoming an Administrator. I am extremely dedicated to educating children
I completed by undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at South Carolina State University, Master of Arts degree in Counseling at Webster University, and a second Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision at Furman University. My educational experiences have taught me how to effectively manage multiple tasks, lead and participate on dynamic teams and effectively problem solve in a variety of situations. In addition, I am committed to establishing a solid reputation for being a strong but fair leader; while being sensitive to the needs of teachers and students.
My family brings me the greatest pleasure. I have been married for 11 years to my wonderful husband, Kendric. We were blessed with two amazing little boys, Kendall and Karter. My hobbies are shopping and traveling.
I look forward to working with the faculty and staff to make this a successful year.
