Registration for the 2023-2024 school year at Hughes is about to begin! Please read all information below carefully and let your grade level counselor know if you have questions.
6th and 7th grade students will be coming home with their scheduling cards on Friday. Please sit down with your child and review the scheduling card to familiarize yourself with what classes we are offering next school year. This is a great time to help your child pick out which essential classes they want to take next school year!
We know that this is a lot of information at once, therefore we have created a Registration Help Website to help you make the most informed decisions with your child.
Registration cards are due back to your child's advisory teacher on Tuesday, February 21st.
Upcoming dates to be aware of:
February 21-24 -- Hughes Academy Counselors will input course requests in the system.
February 21-28 -- Applications for Application Courses will be available on the school counseling website
March 29 -- Students will receive course verifications for parents to confirm class selections for the next school year.
April 4 -- Students return course verification sheets to advisory teachers
Have a child going to High School next year? More information will be coming out in the next couple of weeks due to a different registration timeline.
The team at Hughes Academy is excited to provide select students with the opportunity to attend enrichment programs. The program is offered Tuesday and Thursday of each week. The enrichment program will be held from 7:15am-8:15am OR 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm beginning on October 3rd until the student completes the program.
The program is designed to expand learning opportunities for our students through enrichment experiences and learning support. The program will engage students in activities and practice tailored to meet students’ academic needs.
Bus transportation will be available for the afternoon sessions only. If your student will not be riding a bus, please have your student picked up in the car line at 5:00pm.
The Hughes Academy team will constantly be looking at data to determine the success of the program. Students may exit and/or be invited to the program throughout the school year. Our goal is for each student involved to gain confidence in their abilities and to grow academically.
