Magnet Open House 2016
October 20, 2016, from 5:30 to 7:00
This meeting is for all prospective families! Come and experience our 21st century middle school activities from 5:30 to 7:00! We will have an informational meeting about Hughes Academy and the Magnet Process from 6:00 to 6:30. See you there!
Ms. Kippes's GTT class began the year with an engineering challenge: build a load-bearing structure out of spaghetti and marshmellows.
Ready to Roar
Our sixth-grade orientation, Ready to Roar, was standing-room only last night. We're looking forward to getting to know our new sixth grade students. More images at Hughes social media (see links at right).
Below you'll find two resources for summer reading: a good summer reading list and the list of 2016/2017 Junior Book Award nominees so you can get an early start.
Welcome to Cougar Country!
Welcome to the Hughes Academy web site. We are a STEAM school, which means, among other things, that this site is both student-centered and, more importantly, student-generated. Check back often for news and pictures from Hughes Academy.
