Greenville Alternative Teacher Education (GATE) Program is Accepting Applications for the 2026-2027 School Year

 The GATE program is a three-year, district-based, job-embedded, alternative certification program. GATE provides authentic teaching experiences with supportive mentoring and coaching. Greenville County Schools is currently seeking candidates who are interested in teaching math, science, social studies, business, special education, English, French, Spanish, elementary, early childhood, music, art, dance, and drama. To be considered for the GATE program, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher with a major or emphasis in the teaching area of interest. Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week May 4-8

Next week, we will celebrate the amazing educators and staff who inspire, encourage, and support our students every single day! Each day has a different theme.

  • Flower Monday- Students bring a flower for a teacher. (drawing, paper cut out or real)
  • Tuesday Treats- School sponsored treats for all teachers and staff.
  • Thankful Wednesday- Students write a note of thanks to a teacher
  • Lunch Bunch Thursday- PTA sponsored lunch provided for all teachers and staff.
  • Fun Friday- Students wear your teacher’s favorite color.

Senior Walk Clap Out 2026- May 14

Please join us for Tigerville's Senior Walk Clap Out 2026 at 8:30 AM on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Seniors, please arrive between 8:15 am -8:25 am.  Wear your cap and gown and bring your ID to check in at the front office.  The clap out will begin at 8:30 am.  A group picture will be taken after the walk in front of the school.  Please RSVP on the Google form.  |  2026 Tigerville Senior Walk RSVP

State Testing- 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grades

Third-Fifth grade students will be taking state testing at the end of the year.  Below are the dates and subjects for testing.  Please note that lunch will not be open to visitors or guests on these dates.  Please see the district website for more details.  |  GCS Spring 2026 SC READY

Parent Academy

Throughout the year, the Special Education Department will be holding training sessions for parents of students with disabilities. Topics, dates, times can be found on the links below.  The February and March sessions have been changed to virtual meetings. |
