State law requires that all students have a Tdap vaccination to begin school their seventh grade year. Students who have not been vaccinated cannot attend school and will not receive a schedule at orientation in August. Parents should contact their health care provider or the county Health Department (864-282-4100) to make arrangements as soon as convenient and provide a copy of the South Carolina Certificate of Immunization to the school. Copies can be mailed, faxed, or dropped off in person. Remember, this vaccination is required for all seventh grade students in order to begin school for the 2018/2019 school year.
