Focus of New Greenville County Schools Foundation
GREENVILLE, SC --- "Making a difference for students, schools and educators" will be the focus of the new Greenville County Schools Foundation unveiled today during the School Board's Committee of the Whole meeting.
In presenting the recommendation, Superintendent Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher stated, "The GCS Foundation will fund opportunities for students and educators that either are not or cannot be funded by our primary funding sources - state and local taxes. Schools are about community and we must work hand-in-hand to provide experiences and support that would not otherwise be possible.
