2022 Golf Scholarship Recipients
Thirty-one deserving high school seniors were recognized at the 25th annual Scholarship Golf Tournament Luncheon in Greenville. Each senior received a $1,500 scholarship from the Greenville County Schools Foundation, which hosts the tournament.
“I know that you will go forward and do great things and bring them back to your community. The teaching and other occupations that you’re going into, we can use them in Greenville County also,” said Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher, former superintendent and president of the Greenville County Schools Foundation.
Current superintendent Dr. W. Burke Royster and Rob Rhodes, chairman of the GCS Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee, were also in attendance. More than $600,000 has been raised for scholarships since the first tournament was held 25 years ago.
