Senior exams are Wednesday, May 25th, for 1st & 2nd periods and Thursday, May 26th, for 3rd & 4th periods.

Friday, May 27th, is the required Senior Meeting and our only graduation practice. We will begin at 8:45 in the Auditorium.  The specifics of graduation will be discussed at this meeting along with many important details to help ensure this year’s Graduation is a success.  This information will be placed on the Senior page on our website, as well as shared through Backpack to our students and parents Friday afternoon.

Friday, May 27 is also Yearbook Day. Any senior that ordered a yearbook will receive one following the senior slide show.  Seniors will have their Senior luncheon at the football stadium following the graduation practice. Food, games, and music will be available for seniors to enjoy on their last day of high school.  Seniors are encouraged to wear t-shirts representing their college or career path that they plan to pursue after graduation.

Students with excessive absences need to be completing Seat Time Recovery. There are 3 days of Seat Time Recovery remaining; May 19, 24 and 26.  Students will need to pay and sign up in the morning for the days they are staying.  Mr. Johnson has been emailing students of their needed hours, so students should check their school email for these communications.  Students that have not taken care of their excessive absences will be in danger of not graduating.

Graduation Tickets will be distributed to seniors that are in good standing and have completed their blue 2022 Senior Checkout Sheet before the Senior meeting on May 27.  Each graduate who attends practice and has completed their blue Checkout Sheet will receive 10 free general admission tickets. The graduate may purchase up to 2 additional tickets at $10 each payable with cash to the front office between May 27 at 2:00 pm - May 31 at 4:15 pm. Tickets will not be sold to parents or family members. Students are encouraged to get the blue form completed in advance of the Senior meeting on May 27. Forms can be signed before school starts and during all lunch shifts each day.  Completed forms can be turned into the counseling office at any time.

Graduation is Thursday, June 2nd at 8:00am. The doors will open for all at 7:00am, and graduates will need to be in place by 7:45.  As a reminder,  all seating is general admission. Bon Secours Wellness Arena requires each person attending to have a ticket regardless of their age. They also have a clear bag policy and no balloons are allowed in the venue.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our graduation ceremony on June 2.

Senior Meetings:

Seniors are reminded of the required Senior meeting on Friday, May 27th.  Seniors should report to school by 8:45 and we will meet in the Auditorium.  This meeting will cover all information necessary to ensure a smooth graduation ceremony and will be our only rehearsal time.  This meeting will conclude around noon with the senior luncheon.

Graduation 2022/ Graduation Tickets:

A graduation ceremony is a formal celebration of your achievement.  If a student chooses to graduate in person, they must wear the cap, gown, and academic regalia approved by the school.

Academic regalia (tassels, cords, etc.) can only be worn if issued by Greenville County Schools, a Career Center, the Fine Arts Center, and/or the home high school.

Any other regalia or modification to the approved dress will not be permitted.

Each eligible graduate will receive 10 free tickets for their guests for graduation.  Bon Secours Wellness Arena requires every guest, regardless of age, to have a ticket for entry.  The graduate will not need a ticket for entry.  We are working on extra tickets and will get that information out once we have those details finalized.  Extra tickets could be limited and will have a cost associated with them.

Eastside High's 2021 Graduation is currently scheduled for June 2, 2022 at 8:00 AM at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.  More detailed procedures, protocols, and information will be released closer to the date of graduation and at graduation rehearsals. Seniors must attend the mandatory graduation rehearsals in order to walk at the graduation ceremony.

Senior Check-out Form:

During Advisory on May 4th, each senior will receive a ‘Check-out Form.’ This form will require each senior to see several people to ensure they are clear of any responsibilities owed to EHS.  This will include: textbooks, Chromebooks, library books, ID debt, etc…  Students can start getting this signed off beginning May 9th, and must have the completed form returned to the Counseling Office by Thursday, May 26th.  Having this form completed in time will help to ensure timely distribution of your graduation tickets.

Herff Jones has created two important tools this summer to help the Class of 2022 prepare for their Graduation Ceremony and to celebrate their accomplishments.

Herff Jones has created many pre-made packages for purchase for our graduates. Feel free to pick one of their pre-made packages or build your own package to fit your needs. The minimum we ask our graduates to purchase is the Cap/Gown, Tassel, and Diploma Cover. The current price for this package is $52.95.  Please know that all prices listed will increase after December 31, 2021. So order early to avoid the increase in price.
