CogAT Testing for 2nd grade students will take place October 22nd and 23rd.
IOWA Testing for 2nd grade students will take place October 24th and 25th.
Career on Wheels will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm. We are in the process of finding participants and are asking for your assistance. Career on Wheels becomes an even more exciting experience for our students when members of their own families speak to our students. Each class will spend about 5-10 minutes at each vehicle listening to you share information about how you use your vehicle in your job every day.

We only have a limited amount of participants that we can accommodate; therefore, we may not be able to use everyone who replies. Your support for your child and Robert E. Cashion Elementary School is greatly appreciated. The Robert E. Cashion Elementary Spirit Rock is now open for decoration! This is a great way to share a special message for an REC student or staff member! You could do anything from Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Good Luck, Thank a Teacher, etc. All proceeds from the Spirit Rock will go toward our Fifth Grade field trip and events for 5th Grade Students. You rent the rock for 24 hours. Paint it in the evening to be displayed the next day!
To change your address, phone number, or emergency contacts:
Use your Backpack account to update your contact information. For address changes please notify the school directly as you must provide two proofs of residency. All address changes must include a current bill dated within past 30 days from either Duke Energy, Laurens Electric, Piedmont Natural Gas, Spectrum, or Greenville Water System. If the bill is not in the parent’s name, please contact the school office for additional information.
If your child will be a bus rider, you’ll also need to indicate that in Backpack or complete the Transportation Form, which is available on the district website.
The Student Emergency Information Form in the start of school student packet is sent directly to the Health Room. No updates are made to our student database from this form.
