Attention Juniors! If you have a cumulative GPA of 4.5 or higher, please check your email for an invitation to join Wade Hampton's National Honor Society. Applications are due no later than September 15. See Mrs. Smith if you have questions.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office has launched Operation Safe Outcomes, a voluntary registry to help law enforcement respond more effectively to individuals medical or developmental disabilities such as ADHD, Alzheimer's, Autism, Blindness, and Down Syndrome. Families and caregivers can submit important information to improve interactions with vulnerable individuals during emergencies. Greenville County Schools is now issuing photo identification cards to Golden Circle Club members and transitioning to digital newsletters. Current cards will be accepted through the 2025-26 school year. You must have a new card starting in August 2026. GCS will mail one more printed edition of the Golden Circle newsletter in the Spring of 2026. All future newsletters after that time will be digital. Students at WHHS and GCSVP who are enrolled in an End-of-Course class will participate in the EOCEP testing days near the end of this semester.

!WIN Ready2Work Career Assessment
Career Ready WIN Test is required for all actively enrolled 9GR23 students (typically 11th grade), except students who participate in certain alternate assessments. Students will take all four components of the assessment during the spring testing window. All eligible students, including GCS Virtual Program (GCSVP), must be tested. Testing is optional for actively enrolled 9GR22 students (typically 12th grade). Seniors may take any or all of the four tests one time during the spring testing window to earn a credential or to improve their performance.

Parent Preview of Materials
The Sexual Health and Responsibility Education Unit will be taught by the district health educators to students currently enrolled in PE I. A general overview and outline of the district’s age appropriate, abstinence-based sexual health and responsibility education curriculum can be viewed on the district website under the Students Parents Heading then scrolling to the Comprehensive Health and Physical Education are linked below. Complete details including the slide presentation and videos can be previewed at the school anytime during the school day if you would like to view it. If you do not want your child to participate in the sexual health and responsibility education class or a specific portion of the class, you must bring the signed exemption form linked below to the front office in person. By School Board Policy and SC Comprehensive Health Education Law, students who exempt sexual health responsibility education will be required to complete other health-related self-study lessons.
