Greetings, Blue Knight family! My name is Rett Crocker and I am excited to be at Beck Academy after serving for 10 years in Anderson School District One at Palmetto Middle School. I am entering my 13th year in education. I hold three degrees: - BA in Communication Studies (Clemson University) - MA in Teaching (Clemson University) - MEd in Administration and Supervision (Anderson University) I have taken on various roles in my time in education. I have taught ELA, coached baseball and football, and most recently designed and implemented a social-emotional learning program to help middle school students realize their true potential. I believe that peak educational moments are what help students grow. Creating 'moments that matter' has been a mantra that I have followed throughout my educational journey. It is through these moments that I have worked to engage, inspire, and empower others. In my free time, I enjoy running, keeping up with my favorite sports teams, traveling, and spending time with my wife, Jessica, and two children, Joanna (8) and Rhys (5).
