Ms. Katey Duty

7th Grade Administrator

Hello! My name is Katey Duty, and I am honored to serve as the 7th Grade Assistant Principal at Beck Academy. I am excited to join the Beck family and look forward to building strong relationships with our students, staff, and families as we work together to make this an outstanding school year.

I am beginning my 18th year in education. My career started in middle school as an English Language Arts teacher, where I discovered my passion for helping adolescents grow both academically and personally. Since then, I have served as a middle school instructional coach and most recently spent the past four years as an Assistant Principal at Wade Hampton High School. I earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Clemson University. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading whenever I have the chance. My husband is also an Assistant Principal with Greenville County Schools, so education is truly a family passion. We have three wonderful children: Dylan, who will be a senior in high school, William, who will be in 7th grade, and Emma Claire, who will begin 5th grade this year.

I am truly excited to become a part of the Beck Academy community and partner with our students, families, and staff. I look forward to getting to know our 7th grade students and helping make this a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences. Here's to a fantastic school year—Go Blue Knights!
