Partnership
A unique partnership among students,

- Southside High School (southsidehigh.org) is a select school and
the center for international
studies in Greenville. It's the home of
the first International Baccalaureate (IB) program in South Carolina. This
outstanding program is administered from Switzerland and recognized world wide
as a standard of excellence.
Southside has drawn international
students from every continent in the world except Antarctica. This helps create
a culturally diverse environment in which students can learn and grow.
The school
has achieved state, national, and international recognition in many of its
extracurricular programs including athletics, forensics, academic team, computer
science team, math team, and its literary magazine.
Our Mission
The IB program
provides the highest level and the largest number of AP and IB course available
to high school students in the Greenville area. It's for students who want
academic challenge.

Junior Scholars award based on middle school SAT or PSAT test scores or are

or other professions you should seriously consider the Southside IB program.

JROTC program
which gives students leadership as well as technical training.
Forensics
- Erikson Bynum
Southside's forensics program is nationally ranked and second to none in the
Greenville area. Forensics gives students the chance to develop their speaking
and communication skills.
Robotics
/Engineering -
Tom Rogers
Southside
has a 2000 square foot robotics fabrication shop along with a computer lab
equipped with SolidWorks CAD for developing
robotics projects. In 2004-2005 The school
was one of only 13 schools nationwide to receive a Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam grant for up to $10,000. Our
InvenTeam is currently working on
perfecting a stair climbing robot for
firefighters.
