www.collegeboard.com/apstudents to
learn more about the AP calculator policy for each AP exam that requires a
calculator, and for a list of authorized calculators.
5. If
you have 2 or more exams on one day, bring a bag lunch/drink and eat at
the test site. Do not plan to go out to lunch – normally, you
will not have enough time between tests. Tardiness to an exam because of a
delay at a restaurant is not a valid excuse. You may not be admitted to an
exam if you arrive late.
6. Should
an emergency or unexpected situation arise on exam day, please contact Mrs.
Carrero (299-8480), Ms. Stone (299-8398) or the SHS Main Office (299-8393).
It is important that you contact
one of the individuals above any time you have extenuating circumstances.
Leave a message on Mrs. Carrero or Ms. Stone’s answering machine is
available to take your call.
7. Attendance
at school: You are excused from attending classes on days that you are
taking exams. However, you are expected to be in class on days when you do
not have scheduled tests. Mrs. McAfee receives a daily report of which
students take specific exams.
8. Failure
to take IB and AP exams: Please refer to page 9 in your student handbook
regarding consequences for not taking exams.
9. Student Parking: During
exams, you are to continue to park in your assigned places in the student
parking lot. Students are not permitted to park in the bus parking
lot, teacher lot, or front circle.
10. Dress Code: Any time
that you are on campus, you are to adhere to the school dress code as
outlined in your student handbook-- No exceptions. Do not wear
anything to an exam that you would not normally wear to school.

April 30, 8:30 a.m., Lecture Room. Bring a #2 pencil. All AP students
must attend. Mark your calendars now.
12. IB Results Form (IB Seniors
only): If you know to which college you want your IB results sent,
please complete the IB Results Form and return it to Mrs. Carrero today.
Otherwise, complete the form and return it to Mrs. Carrero no later than
May 28. After that date, you are responsible for requesting that information
from the IB Organization and you will be charged a fee for that service.
You may have your scores
reported to only one university and you must have a firm offer of acceptance
from that university for your IB scores to be sent.
You are required to abide by the policies of the International
Baccalaureate Organization, the College Board, and Southside High School
during this exam session. Any misconduct will be reported and could
jeopardize your IB and AP exam grades.
Should you
have any other questions or do not understand exam procedures, please
contact Mrs. Carrero. As always, thank you for your cooperation in making
this a successful exam session.
GOOD LUCK TO EACH OF YOU.
YOU’LL DO A GREAT JOB ON YOUR EXAMS!
