In honor of America's 250th Birthday, students are invited to participate in this district wide celebration through poetry, speech, song, dance, artwork, photography and essay!
Twenty-eight District Finalists will receive $50, and the four overall District Winners will receive $100. District winners and their work will be recognized as part of Greenville County Schools' America 250 Celebration on Wednesday, February 17.
Deadline for students to enter is October 30.
All work must be original and created by the student submitting the entry.

We are pleased to announce Southside High School will offer after-school tutoring (Academic Overtime). This is an opportunity for students to receive additional one-on-one assistance in any class they may need extra help.
The tutoring sessions will be held in the media center each school day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Tutoring will not take place on holidays or days when school closed or there has been an early-release.

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we encourage all students and families to review the 2026–2027 Student Handbook carefully. The handbook contains important information, guidelines, and expectations that help ensure a successful, safe, and positive school year for everyone.

Students and parents are responsible for understanding the expectations and policies outlined in the handbook. Reviewing this information together will help students make informed choices, stay on track academically, and contribute to a positive school culture.
