April, 2006
Congratulations to two of Southside's seniors who were honored at the GCCTM
banquet April 4 for their achievement on the math portion of the SAT Test.
Stephanie Hoo was honored as one of only four Greenville County
students who earned a perfect 800 on the SAT I, and Shruti Mittal was
one of only five Greenville County students who earned a perfect 800 on the
Math SAT II.

February, 2006 Congratulations to the following students who scored in the top 5%
in the nation on the AMC-12 national math competition: Trevor
Sloughter, Stephanie Hoo, Andrew Menz, Chris Siden, Cynthia Chen, Adam
Shoun, Samantha Jaeger, and Hieu Tran. These students qualify for the
American Invitational Math Exam (AIME) to be given March 7.
November, 2005
Congratulations to the Southside Math Team for their 4th place finish at the
USC Upstate Math Contest held November 12. In the individual competition
Southside placed 2nd with 4 students in the top 10 (Chris Siden 6th,
Stephanie Hoo 7th, Diana Hu and Adam Shoun tied for 9th).
September, 2005 Congratulations to the
Southside High School Robotics Team and Coach Tom Rogers for being a 2005
InnoVision Technology Award Finalist. The InnoVision Technology Awards
program, founded in 1999 by Deloitte & Touche, recognizes and honors Upstate
businesses, individuals and organizations that have demonstrated significant
advancements in the areas of innovation and technological progress. |
