Focus on High Schools: A Resource Guide to Recommended Course Sequences for College Prep and Tech Prep Curricula

A guide to assist students in making wise curricular choices in their high school careers. It is the result of input from four offices within the Department of Education as well as comments from the field.

As high schools prepare students for new PACT exit exams and end-of-course tests, it is important that students take the courses that will help them be successful on these measures.  Rigorous standards-based courses as described in this document will allow students to meet the requirements of high School graduation and to be prepared for post-secondary education.  You may find the guide on the South Carolina State Department of Education Web page at
