The SHS PTSA meeting for October will be held at the Media Center on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Your presence and ideas will make a huge difference!
We are pleased to announce Southside High School will offer after-school tutoring (Academic Overtime) for students beginning the week of August 25. This is an opportunity for students to receive additional one-on-one assistance in any class they may need extra help.
The tutoring sessions will be held each school day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Tutoring will not take place on holidays or days when school is closed or there has been an early-release.
Transportation is NOT provided. You will needto make a plan with your family.
As of June 5, 2025, Early Dismissal Requests must be submitted via Google Form by 12:00 p.m. The front office secretary will verify your submission by matching phone numbers on the request form with PowerSchool information on file for your student. It is the responsibility of the parent to update contact numbers in Powerschool. The link will not be monitored after 12:00 p.m.
Students must be picked up by their parents, unless they have student driver privileges. These students MUST report to the Front Office to sign out at the designated dismissal time. Early Dismissals DO NOT constitute an excuse for any missed class time. If someone other than the parent will be picking up the student, their name must be featured in the Powerschool contact list. All individuals must have a valid form of ID to complete the pick-up process.
After 12:00 p.m., a parent or an emergency contact must come to the office to sign out your student. We will not accept phone calls for early dismissals. As always, early dismissals are not permitted after 3 p.m
