School Safety Patrol

The Mauldin Police Department has assigned Officer Robbie Gilbert to Golden Strip Career Center, Mauldin Elementary and Bethel Elementary until the end of the school year. Plans have not been finalized for next year.

His primary duties are to patrol the schools to look for suspicious persons around the schools, make sure all entry and exit doors are secure while school is in session, suggest improvements to the staff for security purposes, handle and investigate any criminal matters that occur during school hours at the schools, and be a Law Enforcement Presence at the schools to deter criminal activity.

Officer Gilbert has been in Law Enforcement for a total of eight years with four of those years being with the Mauldin Police Department. His background also includes a former position working with At- Risk-Youth. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Clemson University.
